The act of recording an era means love for an era that affects the past, present, and future.

TAE YUN

Director, Filmmaker, Photographer

He picked up a camera at seventeen. He had moved to Sydney at twelve, and somewhere along the way, the familiar things he left behind started disappearing. That loss was the reason.

Since then - Film & Digital Art at the University of Sydney, work spanning film, advertising, fashion, and documentary. He is also the author of the travel essay 『여전히 유럽은 설레임 (Still, Europe Moves Me)』. Whether through photography, film, or writing, the intention has never changed: to record this era, and leave something behind that matters.

The Moving Diary is the name of that intention.

GAYEON LEE

Producer, Photographer

Quiet on the surface. But there is a standard underneath. After studying film in Korea and working as a Producer, she brought that trained eye to Australia and found a different direction. Less direction, more discovery. Currently completing her Master's at the University of Western Sydney, she works at her own pace, through her own lens.

SIWOO LEE

Photographer

The years spent chasing a dream of fashion design built the eye he works with now. A graduate of University of Technology Sydney in Marketing, he continues to work with The Moving Diary beyond his studies. Quietly, but with conviction, he is building his own visual language.

LUNA LEE

Photographer

She studied fine arts and art education - form was always the language. She says she came to Australia running away from something. But looking closer, it was less escape, more absorption. The visual instincts built through art and fashion now carry into the camera. She is finding her own photographic language, one frame at a time.

MIKA HAYASHI ハヤシ ミカ (林 美香)

Operations Lead, Communications & Audio Post

"An image leaves the viewer with something - intense or quiet. Sound carries presence, emotion, rhythm - information that images alone cannot." That line, from the director, is what brought her here.

Sound design at the University of Queensland. Music technology and sound design in Sydney. Community radio, film sets, advertising production - and now, the operational and audio post backbone of The Moving Diary. Born between Korean and Japanese cultures, she moves between both naturally. In the place no one sees, doing the work no one notices. Until the end.

Once ours, always ours.

MAE LEE

Photographer

She came to photography through a life already full of other things - an international business degree from Monash University, over a decade running a successful English academy in Korea, and the years of being a mother. All of it shaped the way she sees. Unhurried, perceptive, close. Her time with The Moving Diary was a natural extension of that.

ANGELA KANG

Photographer

Her grandfather was a photographer in the early days of Korean photography. At ten, his film camera was in her hands. Law school came and went. Other paths came and went. But the camera stayed. "To cut out a moment and keep it" - that has always been the philosophy. She documented many such moments alongside The Moving Diary. That chapter is not closed. It is paused.
